It remains an open question whether any consumer truly gives a shit about the meaning of local.
So, this changes from time to time. I try something, I fail, I try something else, I fail. Someday, something will not fail.

Life Question.
I remember constantly asking myself "What the fuck are you doing with your life?" over the last 6 years. Similarly, I was always pounding my head on the wall wondering "What are you going to do? Do you know what you want to be doing?"
Fortunately, the answer is exactly what I am doing now. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether I'm going to get better at it. But at least I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. Pretty lucky. (and broke.)
-- Wrapped up 25 biz emails
-- Emailed printers about business cards (after research)
-- Freaked out a little bit about something I can't talk about yet.
-- Emails with intern.
-- Set up meeting with Sea Bean Goods.
-- Got some sleep.

Apparently Ben got great traction with the trucks.
Ja Wanna fuckin update?
There are two threads to this update.
1) Things are going incredibly shittily.
2) Things are going incredibly well.
We are starting to build a book of clients. We are starting to see very active participation from food trucks and other microbusinesses.
We still haven't launched. This is super painful. It's been nearly 9 months of my life and I still have nothing to show for it. If you want it see it, it's at smallknot.com. We need to launch. I wake up with a flood of intense thoughts every single morning about the urgency. We have the *perfect* client, but they need time. We are starting to see more competitors every single day.
Now onto the stuff that's irrelevant for you.

Don't even worry about this.
I had to move my daily work diary from a shared to doc to here. None of this will interest anyone but me like 5 years from now.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

“My freedom thus consists in my moving about within the narrow frame that I have assigned to myself for each one of my undertakings. I shall go even further: my freedom will be so much the greater and more meaningful the more narrowly I limit my field of action and the more I surround myself with obstacles. Whatever diminishes constraint diminishes strength. The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees oneself of the claims that shackle the spirit.” - Igor Stravinsky
