If you were anything like me and somehow ended up watching all the swimming and gymnastics events Sunday Night, the Men's 4 x 100 relay was the COOLEST THING EVER. If watched it and picked up all the commentary, history, and context, you probably yelled "Oh My God" and jumped out of your seat too...Damn...that shit was amazing.
Close second? Yao Ming's opening Three-Pointer. (Yes, I started watching the Olympics at 10 am and stopped at midnight, with some Die Hard and Parenthood thrown in the middle. Incidentally, Parenthood is also one of the greatest movies of all time.)

that was the most amazing race I've ever seen. the fact that the franches talked smack beforehand was the icing on the cake.
missed the bball so far :[
These olympics are a smashing good time. I could not have given less of a shit since 1992 when I was 10, but for some reason I am LOVIN' this. GO AMERICA!
You were watching last night, I assume? I bet you hate Chinese people even more now. Coolest Olympics Ever!
since athens i've been so into olympics. dunno why but I love it. everyone around me is catchin the fever, s'nice to find someone else that's into it.
overheard during beach volleyball: "fuck you, argentina! go eat some steak."
I love how the olympics bring ppl together.
Was Athens actually interesting? I was in India at the time, and all I got was coverage of the SINGLE silver medal an Indian got in shooting.
The 100M Butterfly final belongs in this entry.
