We start with the food.

Spinach Bread (Paratha-ish), Lamb Dish, Dolmas

Just Call Me Edmund Pevensie: Turkish Delight! (traditional and chocolate pistachio)
Last night? Beer, Mint Tea, Hookah, and Scrabble. Results?

More importantly, I bought myself a fishing rod, and caught myself a fish on the second cast.

SUCK THAT WORLD! I OWN YOU. (Yes, the fish is small, but all of the fish pulled up from the Bosphorus in this area are ALL this size. So I caught a normal sized fish)
Result?

Triumphant Beer! My buddy was unwise enough to wager a free drink
against my angling skills. I pray you do not make the same mistake.

That's nothing compared to us catching like 30 fish in two hours in the Royal Forest lake. And then we were never able to repeat that, since, even though we threw all the fish back, I think most of them ended up dying anyway.
51 was the official count. Unless you count the fish I was too scared to touch, and whiplashed back and forth against the mud until its lip finally rip and it was freed forever into the asphalt.
Fishing rocks. Try it again. Seriously.
ADM, Jeff, and TK,
I've been a bit busy, and haven't had time to tune in to the ole' blog. A response to your post, Jeff's post, will follow this weekend.
Further question, who is TK? I like the way he thinks, must be the Atlas Shrugged.
Finally ADM, I am in South Carolina. A number of questions present themselves.
A.) What is the proper way in which one should enjoy the local delicacy, grits?
B.) Why are there more Waffle Houses than McDonalds or Gas Stations?
C.) Why does the newspaper here consist of one page of national and international news and like ten pages of sports? Don't get me wrong, I love sports. But really.
D.) Why when I ask for iced tea, do I get sweet tea?

Dear RS,
I can help with some of the SC questions.
A.) You're on the right track with grits, but I also suggest the local boiled peanuts. If you're really daring, try chitlins.
B.) Last time I went to Waffle House (Feb 2008) you could smoke in there.
C.) One page of international/national news is almost too much. 10 pages is necessary to cover national, college AND local high school sports.
D.) Because those two terms are synonymous. If you're looking for something less sweet... ask for unsweetened tea :)
Hope that helps!

TK is my conservative buddy at HLS: the reasonable conservative.
A. Grits. Butter and salt is the simplest. Cheese works too. Or butter and salt, and then be sure to get a bite of sausage or bacon with it.
B. Waffle House is awesome, it's 24 hours, and you can get hash browns.
C. National and international news has no bearing on the South. Except when the Russians invade Georgia.
D. Sweet tea is the best thing ever.
Whoever that is who is in SC, should try fatback. also Bojangles.
