Life Update.

I just jointed Mint.com to start trying to keep better track of my money. It seems pretty cool, since it electronically tracks ALL of your financial information in a consolidated analytical tool. Loans, credit cards, bank accounts, 401k, assets, liabilities, and all of that sort of nonsense. It should also help track spending patterns, which will be quite helpful.

Lesson of the day? My net worth is currently -$125,727.50. There. I said it. To be continued.

Oh, and in my lovely lovely free time, I managed to watch another movie: Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which I really did enjoy. 'Tis a sweet movie.

And...time more some more of doing nothing! Whoo!!

How safe can a site like that possibly be?

It's a legitimate question, but I have a friend who has been using it for a year with no problems, and it was presented to the Harvard Law School class during a presentation of financial planning by the financial aid office. I figure no one wants to fuck with that room of people, especially not their own students.

In any case, I will continue to monitor, but it seems pretty legit.

I've been using it for quite a while now, and had no problems. All the reviews I've read (it's been pretty heavily reviewed) have said it's legit as well.

i tried it for awhile, but it couldn't find all my accounts. i use the quicken online one. but they changed the website around so that it sucks now, so maybe i'll give mint another try. they all seem to have issues with my credit union account though.

slate has a really good review of about 10 of those sights, but you've probably read it, haha.

H: Good to know. I'm waiting for the Madoff day when everyone will look back and say "DUH! How you could be THAT stupid!"

Sarah: I hadn't seen it actually. Just read through it. I wasn't even aware of what Quicken was until now. In either case, I barely track my money anyway, so I'll see how this goes.

If I come to NYC for Halloween, will you be Ryu if I agree to be Ken?

I'll need to think about it. I might make a better E. Honda if my job persists.

I sorta had a hankering to dress as Toad from the Mario Brothers. My last costume as Data from the Goonies was pretty rockin'.

Or, I'll dress as Klonoa, and take home the first girl who recognizes me.

Shit, you got me started on Halloween in March man.
