Ha, good luck. If you don't like it and Marino finds out, he'll never speak to you again (since you guys hang out ALL the time).

hey -- me too (the reading, not the not speaking to you ever again).

h: Why did you start reading it? Had you planned on it earlier?

I have to say, despite the rabid opposition to the film version...some (def not all) of the images from the trailer seem to adhere reasonably to the general appearance of the original. That being said, I'm only about a third of the way through and 300 looked fucking stupid.

Aren't you supposed to be billing some 2500 hours or something, and you are reading comic books instead?

Someday I shall look down upon you and your Watchmen characters and say "Look on my works ye mighty, and despair."

Umm...I was a pansy little wannabe Romantic poet in high school so I know the quote and source.

The relevance, however, is lost on me.

As for my work, I don't start until November 3. So I'm basically moving my shit into my apartment now and tryin to get my life together.

Ozymandias just felt right, you know?

Oh, God. You don't think it's copyrighted, do you?

What?

The Shelley.

Who, that receptionist chick? It depends when she wrote it. She is balls out, though.

Tell me you watch Frisky Dingo. Best show ever.

I had planned on reading Watchmen for a while. I've read some other stuff (remember the Preacher series that the coffeehouse had?) like it, and I've heard good things. All the nerd blogs I read also mention it a lot, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Given the fact that you're not working yet, I expect more posts, at least until you start work and your life implodes.

Preacher is great. It has a few questionable storylines, but as a whole, it's a great series.
