ps. Strongly, STRONGLY recommend viewing The Century of The Self by Adam Curtis. 4 hour-long parts, totally worth it. One of the best docs I've seen. It's on google video.
Ok, so I'll check out "Century of the Self" since I never read the book you suggested I read...but is it going to be the kind of thing where I watch it and then can never relate to half the people I know again?

Laffer's career should have ended long ago.
Ok, so I'll check out "Century of the Self" since I never read the book you suggested I read...but is it going to be the kind of thing where I watch it and then can never relate to half the people I know again?
