All I'm really asking for is a legitimate explanation for why I shouldn't categorically hate all members of the NRA.

Edit: Did you notice the shooting that happened the day after this one? A kid walked into school and shot his principal 5 times. Why is this fucking possible?

I am no advocate of any of the previously proposed gun-control measures. I am open to suggestion. I am afraid that the current administration's approach to the situation would look much like a police state.
I will dwell on this and get back to you.
In the meantime, go ahead and hate the NRA.

I just don't get it. In the news everyday, someone's randomly dying because of some asshole's "right" to have a gun. I mean, doesn't the right to have a gun almost necessarily imply a right to take someone's life? Unless the right to a gun has something to do with holding it and looking tough.
