1) I finally got my first call-back today...Thank God...and I have received my second official rejection, though I'm quite sure I already have 3 rejections for sure. At least I haven't TOTALLY fucked things up.
2) I was proud to be an American today as I read a series of cases where the United States Government went to the mattresses to defend sea turtles from shrimp boats around the world in the international trade arena. We required turtle-friendly shrimp boats from everyone or else we simply would not buy from them. Go Team America! (I actually don't give a shit about turtles, but I'm totally ecstatic that the US government would protect them with its official policy, and defend it tooth and nail against Southeast Asian economies. Pride.)
