It's so fucking unbearable to comprehend that individuals exist who would intentionally bomb a wedding party, face to face, in hopes of getting the other side so angry that they would precipitate sectarian civil war. Apparently attacking wedding parties has become common practice. And not just killing them...but finding the necessity to commit such an atrocity to be so compelling that they give up their own life to do it.
It's even more unbearable to realize that there are apparently, tens, hundreds, thousands, or even millions who would do the same.
This isn't a megalomaniacal dictator with dreams of world domination...or someone who wants power. There isn't a shred of the rationality or even the basic humanness of self-preservation or a sense of humanity in any of it. It's so otherworldly that I simply can't comprehend the act, the origins, or the solution.
